Built and optimized my MERN stack project "LinkedIn Lite" — a scalable social networking web application inspired by LinkedIn, featuring secure authentication, profile management, post creation with image uploads, interactive comments/replies, and optimized newsfeed rendering. Initially, the application fetched and rendered large amounts of post and reply data together, which caused unnecessary API calls, increased rendering workload, and reduced scalability as the dataset grew.
To make the application more production-oriented and scalable, I focused on improving data flow, API efficiency, and frontend rendering performance.
Tech Stacks:
- Frontend: React.js, CSS & Tailwind.
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js
- Database: MongoDB Atlas
- Authentication: JWT (JSON Web Token)
- Deployment: Vercel (Frontend) , Render

Known Issues
Installation
- clone the repo.
- cd to frontend (user_interface) & npm install with all required package.json dependencies.
- cd to Backend ( backend) & npm install with all required package.json dependencies.
- Ensure the .env file with required URL and Keys in Backend before running.
- Npm run dev for Both Frontend and Backend.
- You should see the project working.
Usage
The provided Documentation and PPT are old, as the project got build 1 years ago so it might not contain the latest changes and improvements details, so i suggest you do not get confused with them and the latest project or Github repo.
System Requirements
You do not need a High tech system to run this, just a normal 8-16GB RAM, i3/i5 will work fine.
